Good design. Less loading overhead.
We audited Made in the Shade’s WordPress setup, traced the causes of slow rendering, and implemented improvements across the page and hosting layers.

The challenge.
A Divi-based site was loading noticeably more resources than a comparable Kadence site. The client needed to understand whether the delay came from hosting, theme configuration or front-end assets—and have those issues addressed together.
What the audit found.
- A 6.17 MB hero video added substantial weight to the initial page load.
- The audited Divi page made around 162 requests, compared with 73 on the comparison site.
- Tracking tags, 13 font files and a custom script that hid the page until the DOM loaded contributed to unnecessary work and rendering delay.
- The hosting review found caching and CDN delivery working, while cache lifetime and account capacity needed attention.
These findings describe the site at the time of the audit.
What we implemented.
- Streamlined hero-media delivery and removed the unnecessary page-hiding behaviour.
- Reviewed tracking tags and font requests to reduce unnecessary front-end loading.
- Configured WordPress performance features, including CSS/JavaScript delivery, font preloading and image loading.
- Adjusted the cache configuration and addressed the hosting considerations identified during the audit.
From findings to delivery.
We combined an evidence-based hosting and website review with implementation of the agreed performance improvements. The work treated the theme, third-party scripts and caching as parts of one loading experience.
A considered implementation.
The engagement delivered a leaner front-end configuration and a coordinated approach to WordPress and hosting performance, backed by a detailed client report.
