Better performance starts with the application.
We reviewed the Foundation’s WordPress website and hosting environment, traced key bottlenecks to custom application logic, and implemented the recommended improvements.

The challenge.
Program-calendar filters and member or staff workflows were slow to respond. The client needed an investigation into the application’s behaviour before simply adding more hosting capacity.
What the audit found.
- The report recorded approximately four-second TTFB for the program-calendar AJAX request.
- Event processing repeatedly queried related details such as locations, RSVP status and eligibility.
- Missing indexing, redundant database space and repeated eligibility calculations added avoidable work.
- Global plugin assets, a Divi split-testing cookie and multiple sliders complicated page delivery and caching.
These findings describe the site at the time of the audit.
What we implemented.
- Refactored the filtering logic and related-data retrieval to address repeated database queries.
- Applied the database indexing and cleanup work identified in the review.
- Revised endpoint and eligibility-caching behaviour for the custom WordPress workflows.
- Adjusted unnecessary plugin assets, Divi caching behaviour and slider loading across the relevant pages.
From findings to delivery.
We handled the audit and implementation across custom WordPress code, database behaviour and page delivery. Application bottlenecks were addressed first, with hosting considerations evaluated in context.
A considered implementation.
The project delivered a more deliberate approach to event retrieval, database access and caching, with the original audit providing a detailed record of the problems investigated.

The original report records the diagnostic findings and recommendations that informed the implementation.
